INTERACTIVE MAP

For almost three years now, the Fédération québecoise pour le saumon atlantique (FQSA) has been working on an interactive atlas. Here is a sneak peak of the first draft. This atlas is the product of a large project achieved through acquired knowledge with the purpose of geotagging and mapping the pressure points and habitats of Atlantic salmon, including infrastructures and fishing pools in their environment. It is designed to provide useful information to key actors.

AVENZA MAPS

Avenza Maps are popular among anglers as they present real time information about salmon rivers across Québec.

Whether you are on Bonaventure River, Matane River, Mitis River, etc., download the Avenza Maps before you leave and view them directly on location. You will find pools, camp sites, the nearest bathrooms, or outhouses, etc. Access to Internet is not required to open them.

Here is the list of Avenza Maps:

Lower St.Laurence

Charlevoix

Gaspé Peninsula

Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean

North-Shore

Maps viewed in PDF format on a computer or tablet are previews. To get the full picture, you absolutely must download the free maps for each river you choose directly from the Avenza Maps application.

To download maps from the Avenza Maps application (App Store | Google Play), follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Search for "Avenza Maps" in the search box.
  3. Download the application.
  4. Open the "Avenza Maps" application.
  5. Click on the "Store" bouton (small shopping cart).
  6. Search for "Saumon Qc" in the search box.
  7. Choose your river.
  8. Download the free map of the river to use it while offline.
  9. Downloaded maps are available in "My maps".

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR PARTNERS
