Société de gestion de la rivière Cap-Chat

The Cap-Chat River

From its headwaters in the stunning scenery of the renowned Chic-Choc Mountains, the Rivière Cap-Chat runs 57.5 kilometres before emptying into the Saint Lawrence estuary. Very large salmon return every year to its waters of remarkable clarity that flow over a gravel bed. Because this splendid river is not very large, boats can only be used to cross the river and thus all fishing is done wading.
