WHAT ARE THE DRAWS FOR ON SALMON RIVERS?

By participating in a draw for a salmon river, you'll have a chance to win access to a salmon river's restricted area. There are two types of draws:

  • Annual draws, which take place once a year and give you a chance to win access for the following season.
  • 48/72h draws, which take place 48 or 72 hours before the fishing day (depending on the river). It is possible to register in advance for later dates.

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF DRAWS

ANNUAL DRAW (PRESEASON)

The annual draw is held on dates that vary from river to river. For the majority of rivers, the draw is held on November 1 of each year, but some hold their draw later, in February or April.

Winners of the preseason draws have the opportunity to choose fishing dates for the following season in a given quota sector on a given river.
