The Corneille River is unique in its location in the heart of the Mingan Archipelago, protected by the myriad of islands at its mouth. This site is ideally located for watching the mythical Atlantic salmon run up the river every year, while teasing sea trout. With 20 linear km of exclusive-rights river, you'll have the time of your life discovering the beauty of its pools. Other species of fish can also be found on the upper lakes: landlocked salmon, speckled trout and Arctic char. Our 5* cottages on the La Corneille peninsula offer a relaxing, comfortable stay on the shores of the Gulf of St-Laurent, with local gastronomy and the occasional seal or cetacean sighting. Access to the region

Duplessis: The main highway, Route 138, runs along the St-Laurent, crossing a dozen municipalities as far as Natashquan. The northern hinterland, where the towns of Fermont and Scherfferville are located, is accessible by road from Baie-Comeau and by train from Sept-Îles. Finally, the Basse Côte-Nord region can be reached by boat or plane.
