FLY FISHING MENTORSHIP
2026 Edition
What is our fly fishing mentoring program?
The fly fishing mentorship is an annual event organized by the FQSA, designed to introduce beginners to fly fishing.
This event, which has been held for over 15 years now, generally takes place during the Labor Day long weekend.
Participants are guided by mentors who are passionate about fly fishing and committed to sharing their knowledge in a welcoming environment that fosters learning and meaningful connections.
Who is it for?
The mentoring program is open to anyone interested in learning fly fishing. It is designed for both beginners who have never held a fly rod before and new anglers (with 10 days or less of fishing experience) who do not yet feel completely confident on their own.

2026 Edition
This edition of the fly fishing mentorship program will take place from September 4 to 7, 2026, in the beautiful Gaspé Peninsula region.
Each team of beginners (two participants per team) will be accompanied by a mentor who will teach them the basics of fly fishing to help them develop their independence and skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore different techniques and fishing environments thanks to two full days dedicated to salmon fishing on the Sainte-Anne and Cap-Chat rivers.
