CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS ON WATER
Environmental issues ranging from climate change to water quality and habitat are central to our organization. To this end, we collaborate with a variety of organizations, including watershed organizations and university research groups, as well as governments.

Project in progress: Thermality of salmon rivers
This project, in collaboration with INRS researchers and river management organizations, aims to acquire knowledge on thermal refugia (areas used by salmon where the water remains cold during the summer heat) in salmon rivers and their evolution over time.
In the context of climate change, where water temperature will increase, thermal refuges will become more and more vulnerable. It is therefore essential in the near future to better understand and protect these habitats.
This project is made possible by funding from the Salmon Foundation.
