ROMAINE RIVER SALMON POPULATION RESTORATION

As part of the development of the Romaine River hydroelectric complex, Hydro-Québec has committed to implementing, with the participation of local community representatives, a plan to restore the Romaine River salmon population over a 20-year period.

The Société saumon de la rivière Romaine (SSRR), with representatives from Hydro-Québec, the Innu of Ekuanitshit and citizens of the Minganie RCM, was created to design and implement the salmon restoration plan.

As a non-profit organization, the SRRH has entrusted the FQSA with the management of the administrative services necessary for its proper implementation.
